Giving Students the Best, So They Can Be Their Best
We are conveniently located at 31-32 47th st. We are an innovative and affordable child care and preschool, inspired by Montessori and cooperative learning approach. We serve children ages 6 weeks to 4 years old.
The learning station is a preschool program located in Astoria. We have been open since 2010. We also provide after school care for children ages 3 months to 12 years old. Let our family help you to take care of your little one in our learning center.
Our cozy homelike environment is designed to nurture children’s curiosity and eagerness to learn. We provide an engaging program using the Montessori method. At TLS, our children find the joy of learning.
Our classroom environment contains especially designed manipulative materials for development that invites children to engage in learning activities of their own individual choice under the guidance of a trained and experienced teacher. Children will learn by making discoveries with materials that cultivate concentration, motivation, self-discipline, and a love of learning.
Our curriculum and programs are designed to build a strong foundation in academics as well as social, emotional, physical and moral development. We offer an enriching curriculum based on the five components of the Montessori Approach: Practical Life, Sensorial, Math, Language, Culture.
Our Mission
To provide a safe and nurturing environment to enhance learning with a positive and creative curriculum in order to become independent learners.
Hear it from our parents!
“My son has attended the Learning Station for years and I can’t say enough about Cira and her wonderful staff. Through their caring and teaching, he quickly picked up his abcs, math concepts, potty training, etc. Having such a nurturing and reliable daycare for my child is priceless.”

“This is a wonderful preschool. Our daughter has been attending just over a year, and she has learned so much from Miss Cira and the rest of the staff. She is polite (please, thank you, and I’m sorry), her vocabulary has grown significantly, as has her imagination-based play and cooperative play. Miss Cira also helped us with potty training which proved to be invaluable support. Our daughter is happy to go to school, and is still happy when we pick her up at the end of the day – and that makes for a happy mom and dad!.”
