Thank you for taking the time to learn more about The Learning Station. Each day at our school is an exciting new opportunity to enrich the minds of our students, and we hope your child will join us.
The Learning Station welcomes students regardless of race, gender, national and ethnic origin, and is non-discriminatory in all our policies. We accept children between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years.
We accept applications all year round. Because space is limited, we encourage prospective parents to begin the admission process in the January for the following academic year.

The Learning Station
Welcome to The Learning Station, a high quality learning center in Astoria. We are conveniently located at 31-24 38th st, and 31-32 47th st. We are an innovative and affordable child care and preschool, inspired by Montessori and cooperative learning approach. We serve children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.
The learning station is a preschool program located in Astoria. We have been open since 2010. Our capacity extends to 16 children and 4 children for after school. We provide a clean, safe, and educational environment for children 3 months up to 12 years old. Let our family help you to take care of your little one in our learning center.
We are a school where children find the joy of learning. Our cozy homelike environment is designed to nurture children’s curiosity and eagerness to learn. We provide an engaging program using the classic method of Maria Montessori. Our typical day at the learning station begins with a three hour work period, during this time children are free to work on projects of their choosing.
Our classroom environment contains especially designed manipulative materials for development that invites children to engage in learning activities of their own individual choice under the guidance of a trained and experienced teacher. Children will learn by making discoveries with materials that cultivate concentration, motivation, self-discipline, and a love of learning.
Our curriculum and programs are designed to build a strong foundation in academics as well as social, emotional, physical and moral development. We offer an enriching curriculum based on the five components of the Montessori Approach: Practical Life, Sensorial, Math, Language, Culture.
